About The Author
Autobiographical Sketch
For
Talkin’ Texan – Joe Kent Roberts
The author was found on the doorsteps of Saint Anthony’s Church in San Antonio, Texas as a beautiful newborn baby boy on Thanksgiving Day. He was raised and educated by Catholic Nuns, until some visiting tourists from out of town adopted him at five years of age. This experience, at such an impressionable young age, instilled in the author a love for tourists, traveling, and visiting out of the way places.
The author enjoyed all the things that most little boys do while growing up. Fishing, hunting, running, romping, chasing dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, and watching tadpoles turn into baby frogs. The author especially enjoyed Christmas, Birthdays, Easter, Saint Valentines Day, The 4th of July, Summer Vacations and any day when school was closed.
The author has been a cowboy, fireman, pilot, doctor, rocket scientist, brain surgeon, taxi driver, soldier, artist, poet, lover, father, dad, and is currently employed at a small dairy as a milkman. Each milkman at the dairy is responsible for his, or her own cow and the author’s favorite cow is a beautiful blue-eyed Holstein named Veronica.
The author is currently married to the beautiful, provocative, and talented Miranda. She seldom reads him his rights, or chides him as they have six beautiful children with twins on the way. With his advancing age and sometimes fleeting mental abilities the author at times has great difficulty remembering certain events, numbers and facts. Senility is in full bloom and the author now has the unique ability to hide his own Easter eggs and plan his own surprise birthday parties. This possibly, is one of the many reasons why the author is so happy.
